My name is Estefania Campillo. I am based in Berlin, Germany, but I was born and raised in Mexico. I moved to Vancouver in my late teens, where I studied Fine Arts and Studio Arts. Later, I completed a BA in Digital Arts in Barcelona. I have been a part of Darklands GmbH since 2009, and its Creative Director for over a decade.
Working at the intersection of art, history and future speculation has allowed me to keep an independent viewpoint, away from the mainstream. An artistic sensitivity is central to my multidisciplinary work, spanning photography, styling, textile design, space design, digital art, installations, and more.
When I'm not working or traveling, I enjoy experimenting with digital tools and sculpting. I also hold a diploma in historical gastronomy; cooking and collecting art and antique tools are practices that keep me grounded.
