Hello, my name is Estefania. I am based in Berlin, Germany, but I was born and raised in Mexico. I moved to Vancouver in my late teens, where I studied Fine Arts and Studio Arts. Later, I completed a degree in Digital Arts in Barcelona. I have been part of Darklands (Berlin's most avant-garde designer shop) since 2009, and its Creative Director for over a decade.
Fashion and art demand constant reinvention, and my work at Darklands has always been about staying ahead of the mainstream. An artistic sensitivity is central to everything I do: from graphic design, store concept and large-scale installations to events and exhibitions, each project has been a creative adventure with a global reach. For the past four years I have also designed textile prints for collaborative collections with luxury designer Geoffrey B. Small.
My work at Darklands has also taken me into styling and photography, web design, email newsletters and social media, balancing fashion's relentless pace with discipline, organizational rigor and a readiness to improvise.
When I'm not working or traveling, I'm absorbed in the practice of digital performance and sculpture. I also hold a diploma in gastronomy and trained under the legendary Mexican chef Yuri de Gortari — a passion that keeps me as curious in the kitchen as I am in life.
