Darklands
This logo is inspired by traditional 19th and early 20th Century German script. It required many hours of research from antique books, letters and notebooks. The original was written with calligraphy ink, then digitized and vectored.
darklands-x
This logo is a simple DIN font with a historical reference to Germany, as it was once used for road signage in the mid-20th Century. Its stark simplicity suits the technical, futuristic styles offered at darklands-x.
NagNagNag
NagNagNag is the Outlet Shop for Darklands and darklands-x. It has a much more playful design, and its logo and overall aesthetic changes regularly. Once a year, it exists as a pop-up shop in a new location in Berlin. The rest of the time, it exists online only. Below are only the last 2 examples of NagNagNag's various iterations.
Sointula Museum
This logo is a work-in-progress for the community museum of Sointula, Vancouver Island, Canada. It features 3 main elements that are deeply tied to the community's history: A sailor's knot to honor their maritime history, elements of a Finnish knot to celebrate their heritage and the color blue of the old Finnish flag.
